The boards of the two clubs have been communicating for the last 6 months discussing and preparing for a possible full merge.  The Boards of each approved the merge in April and the official announcment was made May 1st.

Club President Frank Argumosa is excited about the merge, "this is something we have thought about for a while, this allows us to become more competitive in all age groups so we can compete at the highest level.  We have the resources, the training, the volunteers, and the players to become one of the Nations premier clubs.  We are very excited about the upcoming season."
